asked questions regarding breast augmentation
1.
What type of implant is used?
The implant that is nearly universally used and considered
safe by the FDA is the Saline Implant. There is no silicone
gel in these implants. The Saline Implant is filled with saltwater which is similar to the body's composition.
2.
I heard that Dr. Gray is one of a few surgeons trained to
perform Scarless Breast Enlargement. How is this different
from standard breast enlargement surgery?
Endoscopic Breast Enlargement differs from the traditional
methods of breast enlargement surgery in that this procedure
is Scarless. Traditionally there are three ways to enlarge
breasts. Each of these methods requires two incisions on the
chest and subsequent scars. The traditional methods involve
incisions either through the nipple, under the breast or in
the arm pit. In the endoscopic procedure also known as Endobam,
there is a single small incision in the belly button, not
on the breast, so there is no scarring.
3.
How long before I can return to work?
Most of our patients experience minimal to no discomfort and
return to work in days. Compared to traditional methods of
breast enlargement the recovery time with Endobam is much
quicker, less discomfort, and without bleeding.
4.
Do I need sutures removed?
No, the procedure is performed without the need for suture
removal.
5.
Is there any loss on sensation to the nipples?
No, the endobam procedure is not associated with loss of nipple
sensation that is a possibility with standard breast enlargement
procedures.
6.
Do the breasts feel hard?
No, patients have been very satisfied with how natural the
saline implants feel.
7.
How long does the procedure take?
Less than 30 minutes.
8.
Do I have to have anesthesia?
Yes, the procedure requires a general anesthetic however newer
methods of anesthesia are available that do not require intubation.
9.
Is this procedure safe?
Very safe. This procedure has been around for 7 years and
is not experimental. Breast enlargement through the navel
has a lower complication rate and is associated with quicker
healing times and minimal discomfort.
10.
Can I breast feed?
Yes, this method of breast enlargement does not interfere
with milk ducts or the ability of the breast to produce milk.
11.
How much does this surgery cost?
Typically $5,250 which is all inclusive.
12.
Are breast bandages required?
As there are no incisions on the breast no special dressings
are required. A special bra is worn for two weeks after the
procedure.

Commonly
asked questions regarding Liposuction
1.
What is the difference between Liposuction and Liposculpture?
No difference, these terms are synonymous.
2.
What is Ultrasonic Lipo?
Ultrasonic liposuction is the most modern way to remove fat.
This procedure differs from traditional liposuction in that
high frequency sound waves are used to first liquify the fat
prior to its removal. In the liquid state fat can be removed
in greater quantities than traditional methods of liposuction.
3.
How much fat can be removed?
About 8 liters at one time.
4.
Is this procedure safe?
Yes, the procedure performed in our office requires no incisions,
no stitches, no blood loss, and painless for most of our patients.
5.
I heard liposuction is painful?
Unlike the traditional method of liposuction which tears fat
away from your body Ultrasonic Liposuction removes the fat
in a liquid form. Therefore, there is less trauma to your body
and subsequently quick healing which has been typically painless.
6.
Are there any restrictions?
After liposuction with the ultrasonic technique there are
no restrictions to your physical activity. Patients can run
a marathon the next day if they desire.
7.
I hear Dr. Gray is offering a safer form of Ultrasonic Lipo?
A new safer form of Ultrasonic Liposuction exists which applies
ultrasonic waves through the skin. These ultrasonic waves
are specific to fat and will not hurt skin, muscle, nerves
or blood vessels. This newer form of the procedure cannot burn patients which can occur with the older Internal Ultrasonic
systems.
8.
Can the fat return?
Only a finite number of fat cells exist. Fat that is removed
is gone for good. Areas that have been treated with liposuction
tend not to regain fat. However, other problem areas that
exist on ones body can gain weight if proper diets are not
maintained. Fat does not migrate nor deposit in unusual
areas of the body. If weight gain occurs it will occur proportionately
according to your body’s physiology.
