Non-Surgical Fat Reduction

Today, often using a combination of different noninvasive methods, fat reduction can be achieved without surgery. Non-invasive, no-downtime procedures are becoming more effective and affordable, making them a popular choice for patients looking to improve their appearance. These no-downtime procedures work through different mechanisms of action either to destroy the fat cell directly or to cause the fat cell to release the fat which is then excreted by the body.

Morpheus8

Morpheus8 takes Vivace to the next level not only for the Skin of the Face but now for the Body. While Vivace focuses on Skin ( tightening and improving imperfections such as: fine lines, scars and wrinkles ) Morpheus8 can focus on decreasing the Fat in key areas of the Face (such as the Cheeks, Neck and eyelids to provide enhanced definition by decreasing fat ) while tightening the skin and improving the imperfections on the skin’s surface as well. Morpheus8 was built to reset the standard and deliver a holistic approach that maximizes the aesthetic results while optimizing patient comfort. This minimally-invasive treatment stimulates the natural production of collagen and is shown to be effective in alleviating facial wrinkles, fine lines, and tightening and toning the face, neck hands and body. The Morpheus8 does this with the options of using a larger hand piece which increases the surface area treated while not compromising patient discomfort.

Zerona

Zerona uses cold laser technology to specifically release the cellular contents of fat cells without affecting surrounding cells. Zerona targets the entire body whereas i-Lipo targets specific areas of the body. The release of the fat cell contents is the result of the formation of a transitory pore in the cell membrane which allows the fat to pass into the interstitial space between the cells. Once the content of the fat cell has been emptied the body then will eliminate fat through its normal course of detoxification.

Fat cells have a regular, cluster shape, as seen in Figure 4

Fat cells begin to develop transitory pores as indicated by arrows in Figures 6-9

This pore allows the evacuation of the cell’s contents into extra-cellular space (see Figure 7)

Once the contents of the fat cell have been emptied (Fig. 10)
