The Perfect Lipo: Procedure

Part 1: Reduce
The first thing Dr. Gray does during the Perfect Lipo is to perform External Ultrasonic Assisted Liposuction. This consists of massaging ultrasonic (high frequency) sound waves over the skin to liquefy fat. This fat can then be released through small puncture holes. Once the fat is reduced, part 2 of the procedure can be performed: smoothing. Right after EUAL, Smart Lipo MPX can be used to further reduce fat and to smooth cellulite in the operating room.  Smart Lipo MPX works by using amplified laser light to reduce and smooth fat. The heat generated tightens the skin to improve your appearance.

Part 2: Smooth
After this procedure, the remaining weakened liquefied fat will return to a solid, healed state within six weeks.  During this time, fat can further be smoothed using a combination of Dermosonic and Triactive at Dr. Gray’s office.  Dermasonic and Triactive use ultrasonic and diode lasers to keep the fat in a liquefied state so the mechanical components of these machines can smooth it. These machines have technology to decrease swelling faster and the heating component of the Triactive helps further tightening.  Patients who participate in their recovery obtain better results.  While at home patients can enhance their results using Wellbox or Propower.

Part 3: Tighten
After heating the skin with Smart Lipo MPX, other procedures designed to heat the skin are applied.  Fraxel, CO₂ Repair, Thermage, and Venus Freeze can be added to heat the surface and middle of the skin respectively, this produces more tightening. Fraxel, CO₂ Repair, Thermage and Smart Lipo are applied over a three-month period to safely tighten the skin non-surgically.

With The Perfect Lipo there are no incisions, no stitches and no restrictions of activity. Patients of Dr. Gray compare the discomfort level to that of a sore muscle or sun burned sensation to the skin.
