Artefill: Procedure

Artefill is injected deep into the skin and/or under the skin.  The collagen is then absorbed while the body’s natural collagen surrounds the microspheres and holds them in place, providing long lasting wrinkle correction for up to five years. Artefill cannot be used in the lips, but is commonly injected into nasal folds, marionettes, cheeks and earlobes. The treatment of superficial fine lines and wrinkles is achieved by Restylane, Juvederm, laser skin resurfacing and chemical peels.

Artefill: Recovery

With Artefill, there are no restrictions and no recovery time.  This is the same as you might expect with any type of injection.  A skin test is required prior to injection to test for allergies.  A 28-day waiting period between skin testing and injections is required.
